Unfortunately there is an extraordinary amount of misinformation in your post. FACT: The longest continuous inhabitants of Greenland are the Norse (Danish/Norwegian/Swedish Vikings). The Inuit population that is there today came slightly later. This is NOT Danish colonisation. What the USA is trying to do is colonisation. Something that we all thought was long behind civilised society.
Strong reframing. This isn’t about selling land or extracting resources, it’s about co-owning systems, data, and future infrastructure.
“Not for sale, but open for business” says it all. If the next era is defined by space, energy, and information, Arctic communities aren’t peripheral, they’re central. Indigenous leadership here isn’t symbolic. It’s strategic.
58,000 pop. is the very reason why it still looks as beautiful as it does. And free energy? Your mention of “raw Am. capitalism” is why our country is in shambles. She is the spokesperson for Australian mining. Watch Australia 60 mins. Battle for Rare Earths.
Pippa....??? really ???? why why why did you waist money on an airline ticket, if you did ??? YOU do not belong there ! Greenland belongs to Greenland ..period...even if you did a FAIR ? TRADE ....for another island you absconded with - I dunno, maybe Hawaii ??? But even then NO because it was not Greenlands idea. No one, in the Globe !!!! cares what 'problems' trump might have and no...that is not just his style of negotiating style. Your 'talk' was literally a waste of not film in this era but digital 1' and 0's - yes - binary waste. You want a political job, so so so bad...well....not a good look
Technology, Energy, and Money - a framework for a win/win 'abundance' deal structuring, just like the US/Middle East which set the template for the New System last year
I like the channeling of the Inuit / Nature ancient wisdom angle - an opportunity across the world more broadly.
Could it be that the traditional western neo-liberal system is collapsing and that that the Anglo-Europeans are scrambling to keep Russia and the US separated?
Outstanding and wise commentary Pippa. Your work over the last years in contextualising this intelligence and making sense of it has been and continues to be invaluable. Thank you for braving the elements for us.
Negotiations on gaining data sounds great but doesn’t it mean those companies will gain Greenlanders and Icelanders data? And manipulate the opinions etc?
Sounds good and America has always understood to develop and support their own indigenous communities so they have become healthy and prosperous communities with high level of participation in the technological development
Awesome post! Greenland’s value isn’t minerals or bases, it’s leverage. But leverage should be used to increase sovereignty, and sovereignty does not come from swapping one dependency for another. Greenland's risk is that it has become strategically essential without being strategically autonomous.
New Cold War as the West accepts the reality of multi polarity and that other systems have their benefits. To prevent that idea from creeping in we must repeat over and over, Russia/China is our enemy and they will attack us. Repeat it until you believe it, though 90% of the world’s population knows it isn’t true.

Nothing is free, even the mention of capitalism tells that they’d profit heavily once again.

Why can’t the American news go in depth on these issues like you do and explain the true issues.
