Watched the interview - yes, a number of very insightful and provocative thoughts floated up during your conversation. I was reminded that value is subjective. Seduction is the manipulation of the subjective factors that cause a perception of value. Unfortunately, false signals/images are a major component of much of what is perceived to be of value in this world. I was made aware of a definition of marketing years ago that is both incorrect and useful: "Marketing is convincing people to purchase things that they do not need and cannot afford, thus requiring them to use credit." The Trojan Horse also came to my mind as I listened. The selling of the new technologies that will save the world and empower the downtrodden may become the means by which people are enslaved. Time will tell.
