Peter Drucker delayed publishing his book, The End of Economic Man: The Origins of Totalitarianism, until 1939 because he was so frightened to say that WWII was about to begin. I feel his angst as I write of my belief that we have already entered WWIII. But, before you jump out of your skin, try to remember that war itself is digitizing, just like everything else. That may mean the confrontations and conflicts of our time may be very different from anything we’ve experienced before.
One thing not mentioned here is the Fentanyl war deployed by China on the US. They literally killing thousands of Americans with a clever pan North-American strategy. Around 110k US deaths from this imported drug in 2021 alone. Compare this with ~420k total US deaths in WW2. Total deaths from this deliberate policy by the CCP may have already exceeded the total deaths in WW2. However this is not a new type of warfare, its almost a copy-paste of Britain's Opium war on China. What is has in common with the 21st Century warfare, as pointed out in this article is the veneer of plausible deniability on the part of the CCP.
In my view, the subthreshold stuff is simply a preface to kinetic war; a "testing of the perimeter", if you will. CCP China has five LHD style helicopter assault transports in sea trials (or now in service?) or under construction capable of each carrying about four or 5 battallions (1,600 to 2,000) PLA troops; likely more. (1,600 to 2,000 is based on a 30 year-old US WASP Class complement; CCP China probably has improved it.)
Xi Jinping is building for invasion and will use his other capabilities to prohibit defense and deter a US response. They want surrender and occupation without shots fired..
As an advisor to prior administrations, what steps would you advise to prevent what seems to be inevitable - catastrophic nuclear conflict? Your Dad recently tweeted that Xi might even welcome armed conflict, as a means to solidify his leadership and, shockingly, a way to reduce energy, pollution and health issues posed by China’s vast population.
